An Early Spring Snowstorm

Lots of snow, probably at least 6 inches the first Saturday in April -- not welcomed by many, but we were just as happy to take another ski - the last one?  You never know! It snowed furiously all day, and weather advisories were to stay off the roads, so we hunkered down and went out for a late ski on the lit trails a little after 8:00 pm.  Actually we didn't need the lit trails til the very end, since it was light til about 9:30!  The light jumps by about 6 minutes a day now, and if you go to bed early, like we usually do, very soon we won't even see the dark!

A beautiful night, trails deserted, breaking trail a little bit, not groomed, but snow had finally stopped and the company on the trail was a moose!

Sunday we went up to UAA on the college trails and skied, another beautiful day.  All I see on Facebook are postings complaining about the snow, but we're not quite ready to let go of it.  It's been a beautiful end to winter (at least we think it's in the process of ending!)
